How Day's Echo works

Day's Echo is a new kind of personal diary. An ordinary diary waits for you to open it. Day's Echo writes you first: every evening you receive a letter with your entries from the past.

Echoes — entries from the past

Every evening at the time you choose, a letter arrives. Inside — your entries from:

If there's no entry for a period — that echo is skipped. New users start with an empty letter and gradually build up history. After a year the real magic begins: you see yourself a year ago.

Replying to the letter is your diary entry

Reply to the letter — and your text automatically becomes today's entry. No apps to open. Everything through email: receive, read, reply.

Alternatively — you can write through the app: feed, search, calendar, statistics. Installs on your phone as a PWA.

Tasks and reminders right from the letter

In your reply you can add tasks using a special syntax — each task on a new line, at the start of the line:

TASK SYNTAX
@ exercise
A floating task with no deadline. Stays in the list until you mark it done. Great for "someday" and recurring things.
23.05.26 buy mum a gift
Task with a date. Format: d.mm.yy or d.mm.yyyy — e.g. 3.05.26 or 03.05.2026. Appears in the calendar on that day.
23.05.26 14:00 team call
Reminder with date and time. A separate email arrives 30 minutes before. Time format: HH:MM — e.g. 09:00, 18:30.

Example reply with tasks:

Good day today. Finally sorted out the project.
@ read a design book
15.06.26 renew insurance
20.06.26 10:00 doctor's appointment

Diary text and tasks live in the same reply — the app separates them automatically. Tasks are saved in the Tasks section; reminders arrive as a separate email.

Life counter

Enter your date of birth and expected lifespan — Day's Echo shows how many weeks are ahead. Not to pressure — to notice the value of each day and stop putting off what matters.

Time capsule

Write a letter to your future self — with goals, plans, expectations — and choose a delivery date. On that day it appears in your evening letter as a special echo.

Privacy and security

The diary is completely private. Sign in via magic link to your email — no password. Data is stored only on the server; Google cannot see or index it.
